Those Burger King 'black burgers' don't look quite so appetising in real life

Foiled AGAIN!

WE HAVE EMBRACED the deep-fried Mars bar. We have embraced the cronut. But it’s uncertain if we can embrace this.

Earlier this month, Burger King Japan introduced the ‘black burger’, coloured with bamboo charcoal and served with squid ink ketchup.

Of course, the promotional images made it look pretty scrumptious.

Now, the first few pictures of the actual product are slowly trickling over from Japan, and they’re… not so scrumptious.

It looks like a strange macaron, but one taste tester has described the flavour as “spicy bean”. Mmmf. We’ll stick to regular burgers, please and thanks.
